Changing default browser to Opera on Fedora KDE Spin

Work switched to Exchange for email, so I decided to switch from Thunderbird to Evolution (with Exchange Web Services - EWS). Since I had KDE installed as my primary UI under Fedora, I didn't have the gnome-control-center to be able to change gnome based applications' use of Opera over Firefox. Evolution is Gnome based, so I had to update the gnome side of things. The following commands came in handy to switch to Opera for Gnome based apps.

[user@host ~]$ gvfs-mime --query x-scheme-handler/http

Default application for 'x-scheme-handler/http': firefox.desktop
Registered applications:
firefox.desktop
google-chrome.desktop
kde4-konqbrowser.desktop
opera-browser.desktop
Recommended applications:
firefox.desktop
google-chrome.desktop
kde4-konqbrowser.desktop
opera-browser.desktop
[user@host ~]$ gvfs-mime --query x-scheme-handler/https
Default application for 'x-scheme-handler/https': firefox.desktop
Registered applications:
firefox.desktop
google-chrome.desktop
opera-browser.desktop
Recommended applications:
firefox.desktop
google-chrome.desktop
opera-browser.desktop
[user@host ~]$ gvfs-mime --set x-scheme-handler/http opera-browser.desktop
Set opera-browser.desktop as the default for x-scheme-handler/http
[user@host ~]$ gvfs-mime --set x-scheme-handler/https opera-browser.desktop
Set opera-browser.desktop as the default for x-scheme-handler/https
