So we ate at Horizon last night... it was AWESOME! They are located at the same place where Goosebumps used to be. Pricey, but awesome. They were completely booked in the main dining room, so we sat downstairs. It is one of the best restaurants I've ever eaten at. With the appetizer of Jamaican BBQ Seitan that just pulls apart like pulled pork... they must make the seitan on site. Honestly, Singapore's eat your heart out...
Today we went to E's Passyunk for dinner and had this amazing sandwich of organic Lancaster bacon, cheese, sauted oyster mushrooms, etc. The coffee was la colombe and it tasted great - a tribute to the attention they pay to making the coffee.
At both establishments the people working there were great, and friendly. They definitely enjoyed your presense and made you feel well at home. This is in contrast to some places which are totally portraying a false sense of welcome - fakeness. Both places were relatively expensive actually. Horizon's was about $90 for the both of us. Though without drinks (usually the most expensive bit) it would have come out to $50. E's Passyunk was expensive alone; It was $19 for the both of us. Drinks were two coffees at $1.50 each.
It was all good though! Definitely worth it.
