So it's supposed to snow shower later on today with freezing rain. I decided to count my 200 pennies and take the bus. Alas... the signage on the bus says: "Bus detoured. Go to 5th street. Change is indefinte." Now I had just _walked_ past 5th street to get the bus. In fact 5th street is at the end of my block!! GRRRRR. I decided to start walking... once again, SEPTA screws me over. A block north I tell the people who are there what's going on. They freak, and a mother with her child decides to drive into work... as I am walking away she asks if I need a ride. I remembered the old addage, "Don't want. But don't not want," So I agreed. It was cool. I got in in no time flat with five minutes to spare.
Now accepting rides from strangers was something odd to me before my next door neighbor offered me a ride one day. Granted, it was just my next door neighbor. This was a little more odd, but I guess my neighbor was the watershed.
And I found one of the best radio shows around. It's this Soul music show on WKDU, it came on later last night (Thursday - after 12?) and went until whenever, last I looked at the clock when I fell asleep was 1:45am.
